Call for Contributions

We are excited to invite researchers to present their published or ongoing research as spotlight presentations and posters at the EgoAct workshop. The presentations and posters aim to provide a platform for young researchers to showcase their cutting-edge work, share their insights, and foster vibrant discussions across the robotics and computer vision communities.

Some key workshop topics include but are not limited to:

  • Egocentric interfaces for robot learning
  • Egocentric scene and high-level action understanding
  • Transfer learning between humans and robots
  • Building foundational models for robotic perception using human activity datasets
  • Leveraging egocentric world models for both high-level planning and low-level manipulation

All submitted contributions will go through a double-blind review process. As we review the submissions, we'll be searching for diverse ideas that stand out.

Presentation Formats

Note: We strongly prefer presentations to be in-person.

  • Spotlight Presentations. Selected researchers will have the chance to deliver spotlight talks, providing concise and impactful overviews of their work. Spotlight presentations will be part of focused sessions, highlighting key findings and contributions to the field. Submissions selected as spotlight presentations will automatically be considered for poster presentation. Hence, an additional poster presentation is also required.
  • Poster Presentations. Presenters will have the opportunity to showcase their research in a visual and interactive format. Posters will be displayed in a dedicated poster hall and attendees will have ample time to explore the posters and interact with presenters during the designated poster session.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions should be in the form of full-papers (typically around 8 pages) OR 4-page extended abstracts (excluding references | PDF RSS25 Latex Template) that provide an overview of the research topic, key objectives, methodologies, and preliminary or expected results.
  • All submitted contributions will go through a double-blind review process and must therefore be anonymized.
  • The contributed papers will be made available on this website. However, this does not constitute an archival publication, and no formal workshop proceedings will be made available, meaning contributors are free to publish their work in archival journals or conferences.
  • Submissions and reviews for the workshop will be handled via OpenReview: https://openreview.net/group?id=roboticsfoundation.org/RSS/2025/Workshop/EgoAct
  • Note that only full-papers may be considered for spotlight presentations.
  • Selected papers among the spotlight presentations will receive the Best Paper Award, sponsored by Meta

Important Dates

  • Deadline for submission: 30th April, 2025
  • Notification of acceptance: 23rd May, 2025
  • Workshop: 21st June, 2025
